Safe-level sounds can pass into the ear canal, while louder noises (above 85 dB) are diminished through a proprietary design with a special noise-reducing filter. EP7s come with attached filter caps, which can be added for extra protection and to block out lower-level noise in situations where hearing ambient sounds or conversations isn’t necessary. They also function as earpieces for compatible radio communication systems.
