The Manbug is a deceptively small back lock folding knife that comfortably fits on a keychain yet cuts with the authority of a much larger knife. This unique expression of it showcases a blade crafted from CPM SPY27, a state of the art powder metallurgy steel that supercharges the cobalt-enriched chemistry of VG-10 stainless steel with niobium, nitrogen, and increased volumes of carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium. Developed in close cooperation with Crucible Industries and exclusive to Spyderco, CPM SPY27 offers an exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. Taking full advantage of these properties, this knife’s satin-finished, full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade of is paired with a lightweight fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle injection molded in a distinctive cobalt blue one of the signature handle colors of Spyderco’s elite SPY27 family of knives. It also features a high traction Bi Directional Texture pattern for a secure grip.
